The city of Portland is adding college graduates to the working age population at an impressive rate, twice as fast as major US cities such as Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The 49 thousand new college graduates, of working age, that the city of Portland has added in the last six years is more than Atlanta, Minneapolis and Milwaukee combined.

The three largest Portland area counties: Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington, added 89 thousand people in this important demographic. That’s the vast majority of growth in the state of Oregon in the demographic.
