Portland ranks No. 2 as ‘America’s best places to live in 2020’

Thanks to its culture, education, affordability and safety, Portland, Ore., earned the No. 2 spot in Bankrate’s annual Best Places to Live. 

For affordability, Portland rated 7 out of 10 and 9 out of ten for education. Portland also earned kudos for its walkable downtown with shops, restaurants, events, and galleries. Beyond culture, Bankrate says: 

Portland offers a well-rounded economy with better-than-average affordability and one of the highest education rates in the U.S. Major employers in the area include Intel, Nike and Boeing.
